What Book Finds is

Book Finds is a site where creators publish public book recommendation lists at bookfinds.co. Readers can open those lists without an account.

Email and sign-in

To claim a handle or use Studio, you enter an email. We send a short-lived magic link to that address. Opening it creates or signs in to an account. We do not use passwords.

We keep the email on your account so we can send later sign-in links and recognise you. We do not send marketing mail from this flow.

What you publish

A claimed handle, display name, bio, list titles, notes, and the books you add are stored so we can show your lists. Published lists are public at a permanent URL.

Cookies

After you sign in we set a session cookie so Studio stays signed in. Public list and book pages do not read that cookie and do not require an account.

List views and retailer clicks

When someone opens a public profile or list, or clicks a Bookshop or Amazon button, we record a product event (which creator, list, book, and retailer). Clicks go through bookfinds.co/go, then to the retailer. We use those events to run the product, not to build a reader account.

Who processes this

The site runs on Cloudflare. Account and list data live in our database. Product events go to our analytics pipeline. Magic-link email is sent through our email provider. Creators searching for books in Studio query Google Books.
